We are Taetske Harkema and John Verhaar and the lucky owners of two houses in France, Maine et Loire, Turbilly.
When we bought the houses, in the year 2000, La Vie en Rose was, after a small renovation, an excellent house for holidays. We spended many happy days there, with and without family and friends.
The other house, an ancient farmhouse, was still in ruins and completely uninhabitable. Our French neighbours were therefore convinced that we would demolish it. But after a few years, we have, to the great surprise and relief of many, completely restored it and now it is quite habitable.
Since we both retired, we haved moved to that house, Les Troglodytes, and we live there during the summer semester.
Because La Vie en Rose a great house, fully furnished and very comfortable, we would like to have the house available familie and friends, or for guests in the form of Chambres d'Hôtes.
